Got yourself a SO for V-Day? Here are 5 date ideas that are designed for you to K.I.S.
If you’re like me, then you love ‘love’ and this coming Feb 14th is no exception. As an event planner, nothing makes me happier than seeing a couple in love and helping them plan an event. It could be dinner, it could be an engagement, a wedding, an anniversary - whatever the occasion, it’s a celebration!
If you’re not so much about the swooning and being swept off your feet type but do want to show your significant other (SO) some affection and enjoy an activity or event together, then good news you can!
Keep It Simple with these five winning ideas to consider for Valentine’s Day 2023!
Cook a Romantic Dinner at Home: Prepare a candlelit dinner for two at home with your significant other. Choose a menu that includes your favorite dishes and create a cozy atmosphere with soft lighting and music. Curl up with popcorn and a good rom-com to bring the date full circle.
Take a Couples Spa Day: This one is a personal favourite of mine. I am all about that self-care, chill and good vibes. Why not relax and rejuvenate with a couple’s spa day? Indulge in a couples massage, sauna, and other spa treatments. It's a perfect way to unwind and connect with your partner.
Plan a Picnic in the Park: Pack a picnic basket with your favorite snacks, drinks, and a blanket. Head to your local park for a romantic picnic in the great outdoors. If you’re not keen on writing a shopping list and making sure you’ve packed the right things - there are plenty of caterers out there that can give you a helping hand! My go-to suggestions if you’re a local Novocastrian would be:

OR you can certainly research your own with by simply typing in Grazing Boxes/Picnic Baskets into your search bar and voila! Happy searching!
Create a Memory Jar: For this activity, sit down with a beverage of your choice and have some quality time together. Fill a jar with notes, photos, and other special memories of your time as a couple. You can both reflect on these memories throughout the year and add to the jar in the future
Random side note: I am not sure if anyone else does this, it might be an inside joke. But whenever Joel and I are discussing going on a road trip or traveling anywhere, one or both of us will always say…
This leads me to my final date idea.
5. Go on an Adventure: Take a break from your day-to-day routine and plan an adventure together. Go on a scenic hike, explore a new place, or try a new activity. Doing something new and exciting together can be a great way to bond and create memories.
I hope this inspires you to plan something or PIN this post so you have some date ideas ready to go for another time.
Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!
